Lorraine E. Booth McAteer, 88, of Folsom died August 9, 2016 at Taylor Hospice Residence. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy Van Dyke Booth. Lorraine spent her early years in Chester and moved to her late residence in 1971.

Lorraine was employed as a manager at the Van Heusen store in Upland and previously worked for Ship-n-Shore. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church and was a former Girl Scout Leader and devoted mother.

Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, Francis L. McAteer, who died in 1971; her daughter, Linda S. McAteer, who died in 2005; and her siblings, Mary Ennamorato, Dorothy Logeman, William Booth and Vernon Booth.

Survivors: mother of Carol A. McAteer, Melanie McAteer, Michele McAteer-Velianoff (David) and Shawn McAteer; also sister of James Booth.

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, August 11, 2016 and after 10:00 AM Friday at White-Luttrell Funeral Homes, ltd., 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Friday, August 12, 2016 at the funeral home

Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery
