Lorraine J. "Joan" Knapp Fuchs, 81 of Woodlyn died February 1, 2015 at Taylor Hospital. Born in Buffalo, NY, daughter of the late Lawrence James and Mary Roesch Knapp, she had been a resident of Woodlyn for 53 years.
Joan was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church and was a former member of St. Rose Women's Club. She enjoyed reading and volunteering at the Ridley Bowl Daycare, but most important was her devotion to her loving family, especially her grandchildren.
She was the wife of the late Francis A. Fuchs and mother of the late James Lawrence Fuchs.
Survivors: mother of Denise "Lynn" Paschal (Jerry), Francis A. "Frank" Fuchs, Laura "Jean" Peacock (Donald) and Carol-Ann Beck, also ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Funeral Liturgy: 11 AM Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call after 10 AM.
