Loretta Cunningham Bungo, 75 of Broomall died March 3, 2016 at her home. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John and Helena Oppel Cunningham and resided in Springfield before moving to her late residence 19 years ago.

Loretta was a graduate of Frankford High School, class of 1958. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church where she was the treasurer, organist, choir director and administrator of the preschool. Loretta previously was employed by the Philadelphia School District.

She was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Mother's Against Drunk Drivers and she was active with the Pro-Life Movement. Loretta enjoyed music and volunteering with Vacation Bible School.

Loretta was predeceased by her brother, John Cunningham, Jr.


Survivors: wife of Hank Bungo, her husband of 47 years; mother of Jennifer Southard (Thomas), Eric Bungo (Lauren) and Bradley Bungo (Holley); and grandmother of Noah Henry and Simon Luther


Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Saturday, March 12, 2016 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 628 E. Chester Pike, Ridley Park, PA 19078, where friends may call after 8:30 AM
