Loretta A. Green Lynch,79

Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother


Loretta A. Green Lynch, 79 of Ridley Park, died December 4, 2011 surrounded by her adoring family. Born in Philadelphia to the late Lawrence and Sarah (Scott) Green, Mrs. Lynch lived in Southwest Philadelphia prior to moving to her late residence.

She attended Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School and West Catholic High School for Girls, Class of 1950. She married her high school sweetheart and the amazing journey began, which lasted 60 years. A Ridley Park resident for over 55 years, she was involved in many organizations and committees throughout her life. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Parish and the Ridley Park Boys Club, she also served as a Republican committeewoman. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family and was always organizing events with her grandkids. In her spare time she loved to paint ceramics, read and solve crossword puzzles. Her house was a home where many, many friends spent time. It was a revolving door of kindness, love and friendship. She was know to many as GrrGrr (grandmother) and was a mother and grandmother to all.

She was sister of the late Joan Green Mattox.

Survivors: her loving and devoted husband, Philip F. Lynch, her nine children, Phil Lynch (Karen), Jacqueline Basquill (Thomas), Joanne Fisher (Rick), Susan Dickens (Gary), Sharon Boyle (Robert), Stephen Lynch (Suzanne), Laurence Lynch (Denise), Daniel Lynch (Eileen) and Loriann Drass (Anthony), and 23 grandchildren Lauralee (Andrew), Gary, Thomas, Catherine, Philip, Patrick, Michael, Stephen, Robert, John, Sean, Christopher, Corey, Ian, Alec, Sydney, Seamus, Sarah, Erin, Connor, Skylar, Colton and Danny.

The family invites Loretta's friends to celebrate her life with them at her Funeral Mass, 10 AM Saturday at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA

Visitation: 6 to 9 PM Friday and 8:15 to 9:15 AM Saturday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park

Burial: SS Peter & Paul Cemetery
