Loretta Egan died January 9, 2012 at her home.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, she was daughter of the late Raymond and Virginia Abruzzese.
She then became a longtime resident of Swarthmore, having lived there for over 40 years. Loretta was dedicated to her family, a truly giving and loving mother and grandmom. She most enjoyed summers at the shore with her family. Loretta had a wonderful sense of humor which created lifelong memories with her loved ones. She loved cooking and reading, but her favorite hobby was teaching her grandchildren how to play cards.
She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Egan and her brother, Raymond Abruzzese.
Survivors: sister of Rita Sisto and Maryann Kobrinsky, both of Ventor City, NJ, mother of Michelle Brawley (Tim), Michael, Matthew and Robert Egan, grandmother of Samantha, Megan, Matthew and Nicholas.
The family would like to that the infusion center nurses at Crozer Keystone Medical Center for their compassion and support, especially Nurse Cathy.
