Linda Palermo (Brechter), 75, of Lester, PA, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025.
If you knew Linda, you were welcomed with laughter, love, and a dash of mischief—often served alongside a cup of coffee, a great story, and no fewer than two pairs of reading glasses balanced somewhere on her head.
Linda had a gift for finding beauty in life's simple pleasures: the rhythm of waves meeting the shore, the quiet comfort of her backyard "oasis," the joy of a loyal dog, the thrill of an antique treasure, the victory of a bargain found, and gardens so vibrant even the weeds seemed to step back in awe. Her family rarely left her yard without a good sweat, dirt on their hands, and a smile from helping her tend to it.
She was the heart of her family: mother to Michelle (Bobby), Tina (Chad), Theresa (Greg), and Meghan (Bean); stepmother to Danny (Alicia) and Rue; grandmother to sixteen; and great-grandmother to one. She is also survived by her sister, Marleen Bria (Tony), sister-in-law Denise Brechter; many nieces and nephews; lifelong childhood friends; and countless dear friends who felt like family. Waiting to welcome her in heaven were her husband, Daniel Palermo; her parents, Marge and Vic Brechter; her brother, Marty Brechter and many of her furry friends.
Linda's humor was quick, her hugs unmatched, and her Amazon orders… unpredictable. ("Wait, I thought I only ordered one!") will forever echo in family stories. She had a way of turning ordinary days into moments worth remembering.
To honor Linda's memory, spend time with family, plant a flower, hug a dog, donate to an animal shelter of your liking or go help someone out with their garden—and, for good measure, wear two pairs of reading glasses at once. She'd be smiling, knowing the tradition lives on.
