Linda M. Murray Derrickson, 67 of Aston died February 23, 2016 at Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Born in Germany, she lived in Upland before moving to her late residence in 1978.
Linda was a graduate of Claymont High School, class of 1966 and was employed as an IT Specialist at Pennsylvania Machine Works in Aston. She was a member of St. Francis deSales R.C. Church and loved music and dancing. She was named the best dancer in her senior year. Linda enjoyed eating at Shady Maple and traveling to Chincoteague, VA.
Linda was predeceased by her father, Charles E. Murray, who died January 6, 2014; her sons, Derron Derrickson and Timothy Derrickson; her sister, Sharon T. Hurst, who died in 1991; and her grandson, Jeffrey C.S. Sherer, who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2011.
Survivors: daughter of Erna Feghelm Murray; mother of Kristen L. Hurst Adamek (David), Joseph Derrickson (Carol) and Danita Griffith; sister of Heide K. Williamson; aunt of Ryan M. Rankin and Daniel Williamson; and grandmother of Joseph, Amanda, Timothy and Darrion Derrickson, Megan Adams-Burr, Nicole and Cameron Smith; also survived by her special aunt, Monica McDonald, who provided much love and support during Linda's illness.
