Lillias Heather Leskie (nee Watters), 90, a lifelong resident of Ridley Township, died peacefully on April 2, 2024 at her home with her daughter Debbie Leskie. Born in Darby, Heather was the loving daughter of the late Stewart and Mary "Mae" Miller Watters.

Heather was a graduate of Ridley Township High School, class of 1952, where she played field hockey and basketball, and was also an exceptional majorette and fire baton twirler. She received her bachelor's degree from West Chester University in 1956.  Heather was a dedicated Health and Physical Education teacher and an encouraging coach for over 30 years at Ridley North Junior High School and Ridley Junior High School. She was a popular teacher who was admired by many of her students, her players and her band front members. She was a supportive coworker to her Ridley School District colleagues. Heather was a member of the Rutledge Presbyterian Church and the Patterson Grove Church in Shickshinny, PA. She was friendly and caring to her neighbors in Ridley, North Wildwood, Cape May, and Patterson Grove. Heather was a beautiful person who enjoyed gardening, creating arts and crafts, playing cards and games, and watching sporting events. She appreciated the pure beauty of nature and time spent with family and friends.

She was the loving and devoted mother of Deborah H. "Debbie" Leskie and the late H. Kevin Leskie, sister of the late Mary E. "Betty" Dick and William Watters, aunt of Ronald Dick (Natalie) and Robert Dick. She is also survived by two great-nieces and her extended Leskie family and was predeceased by her former husband Harry J. Leskie.

Funeral Service 10:30 AM Monday, April 8, 2024 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 9 AM. Burial will take place at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill.
