Leslie George Torrens, 85 of Ridley Park died on December 28, 2024.  Born in Darby, the son of the late David and Christine Goerlach Torrens, he lived in Glenolden before moving to Ridley Park 61 years ago.

Leslie was a graduate of Glen-Nor High School, class of 1958 and was a Manager at the Boeing Company before his retirement in 1999.  After retiring, his wife Barbara remained working at Boeing and her position required traveling, Les enjoyed joining her on her trips abroad and in the states.  He also loved cars, model railroading and visiting Reeds Beach at the Bay to spend time fishing with his boys.

He was the loving husband of Barbara Birmele Torrens, father of Scott Leslie Torrens (Tina), Wayne David Torrens (Victoria) and Richard Robert Birmele, brother of David John Torrens, III and the late Howard Torrens, he is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Burial Rite and Eucharist 11 AM Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Christ Episcopal Church, 104 Nevin St., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 10 AM.  Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
