Leona Pierdomenico Delgott, 96, of Woodlyn, died peacefully at her home on October 2, 2012. Born in Pianella, Providence Pescaro, Italy, she came to the United States at age 12. She has lived at her late residence for 71 years, previously residing in Chester.
Leona loved gardening along with the beach and ocean in Wildwood, NJ, but most important was her devotion to her loving and caring children and grandchildren.
She was wife of the late Anthony Delgott who died June 27, 1993 after 55 years of marriage, mother of the late Eleanor G. Mesh, daughter of the late Giuseppe A. and Ciriaca Pace Pierdomenico and sister of the late Assunta Pierdomenico, Nicholas Pierdomenico and Alvo Pierre.
Survivors: mother of Gloria A. Wood (Jim), Marguerite Szalkowski (Frank) and Anthony J. Delgott (Linda), sister of Daria Palo (James), Vincent Pierdomenico (Louise) and Raymond Pierdomenico (Elaine), also nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM Tuesday at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 208 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park, PA 19033
Visitation: 9:30 to 10:15 AM Tuesday at the church
Burial: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery
