Lawrence B. Wiker, 80, of Eddystone died May 9, 2017 at Seasons Hospice at Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Lawrence Heller and Virginia Elizabeth Thomas Wiker and resided in Woodlyn before moving to his late residence 23 years ago.
Lawrence was a graduate of Darby High School and Delaware County Community College. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was employed as a Police Officer for the Boro of Norwood for 15 years before retiring in 1988. Lawrence loved cars and enjoyed oldies music, dancing, bowling, the shore and the casinos.
Lawrence was predeceased by his sisters, Shelly Smith and Verna Down.
Survivors: loving husband of Mary Jane Gorbey Wiker, his wife of 23 years; father of Patricia (Dan), Thomas (Anne), Lisa and Laurie; former husband of Pat Dinyon; stepfather of Tammy (Dave), John (Shelly), Stacie (John) and Kelly (Chris); also, 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
