Larry V. Dodds, 81, of Ridley Park, died February 10, 2021 at Taylor Hospital. Born and raised in Chester, he was the son of the late Edward F. and Esther Casey Dodds and moved to his late residence 57 years ago.
Larry was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1957 and served in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a meat cutter for A&P Food Stores and Roy Tweedy's before retiring at the age of 75. Larry was a Friend of Bill W. and enjoyed reading, watching nature and his family and friends, but most important to him was spending time with his cherished grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Sandra Weaver, Edward Dodds, Jr., Patricia Vitelli, Sal Round, Donald Dodds and William Dodds.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Sue Edelblute Dodds; his children, Larry V. Dodds, Jr. (Marie) and Stacy Dodds Morris (John); his six grandchildren; and his siblings, John Dodds, Babs Agnew, Joe Dodds and Tom Dodd.
Funeral Mass: 11:00AM Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at the Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park, where relatives and friends may call 9:30 to 10:45AM.
Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
