Larraine Joan (Rogalski) Horne
June 25, 1936 – January 5, 2026
Larraine Horne, 89, passed peacefully at her home in Aston, surrounded by loving family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, a gentle spirit who brought warmth and joy to many and will be deeply missed.
Born in Dickson City, Larraine moved with her family to Chester during childhood, where she attended Saint Anthony's School and graduated from Chester High School. Her Catholic faith and proud Polish heritage were lifelong foundations that guided her values and devotion to family.
As a young woman, Larraine met her future husband at the Great Leopard, beginning a beautiful journey that spanned fifty-two years. Together, they built a loving home in Garnet Valley, raised five children, and filled their lives with laughter, warmth, and treasured moments.
With a zest for life, Larraine enjoyed many passions, from antiques and auctions to cooking, reading, listening to Elvis Presley, and spending a fun day at the races or the casino.
Professionally, Larraine was an accomplished accountant, working for Wawa Corporate, Burpee Seed Company, and General Packaging before becoming a successful business owner of Boulevard Bakery.
Above all, family was the heart of Larraine's world. She adored every moment spent with her husband of fifty-two years, her five children, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, leaving a legacy of cherished memories and devotion.
Larraine Horne was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Horne, in January 2008. She is survived by her children, Stanley Horne (Mary), Marie Horne, Teresa Ford (Robert), William Horne (Michelle), and Robert Horne; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Jesse, Kaitlyn, Stephan, Kelsey, and Kyle; nine great-grandchildren, Will, Ayla, Remi, Colton, Kairo, Kyle, Cali, Kiera, and Chloe; and her sister, Jean Francis. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Anna Rogalski and the sister of the late Dorothy Smalec.
Funeral services will be held privately in accordance with the family's wishes.
