L. Barbara Bean (nee Worrell), 78 of Boothwyn died on November 8, 2021 at her home. Born in Chester, the daughter of the late Clarence and Virginia Robbins Worrell, she lived in Wallingford before moving to her late residence 40 years ago.
Barbara was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1961 and was employed at Zenith Metals in Aston for 30 years before retiring in 1988. She was a member of the Lower Chichester Fire Company for 27 years as well as a member of the Delaware County Ladies Auxiliary Fireside and the Mount Hope U.M. Church. Barbara was a lunch mom at St. Joseph's School where she also volunteered making baskets for holidays which were chanced off as fundraisers.
She was wife of the late Bobby R. Bean who died on November 27, 2001 after 40 years of marriage and was sister of the late Dolores Dewees, Nancy Rios and Jerry Worrell.
Barbara is survived by her brother, Donald Worrell, Sr. (Marie), her nephews Donald Worrell, Jr. (Mary Kathryn) and Horace Dewees (Karen), her nieces Terry Powell, De Dewees and Debbie Staffi, also several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral Service 10:30 AM Friday, November 12, 2021 at Mount Hope U.M. Church 4020 Concord Rd., Aston where relative and friends may call 8:30 to 10:15 AM. Burial Mount Hope Cemetery.
