Kosta Hionis, formerly of Chadds Ford, PA, passed away on March 25, 2023 after a brave battle with cancer. Kosta is survived by his son Evan (Samantha), daughter Larissa, grandson Maverick, and ex-wife Laura. He is also survived by his brothers: Jerry (Effie), Dionysis (Danny) (Rose), and sisters Athena Hionis and Eleni Andreatou of Greece as well as sisters-in-law, Dora Hionis and Sophia Hionis and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kosta was preceded in death by his brothers Alekos (Alex) and Haralambos (Bobby).
Kosta immigrated to the United States in his twenties. He was proud to become an American citizen and embodied the traditional ethics of hard work and determination to succeed in his new home.
Kosta was the owner of the landmark restaurant, The Little Inn, in Media, Pennsylvania for thirty-five (35) years. The Little Inn, under Kosta's ownership, hosted a Sunday Brunch that would at times serve 700 people. Kosta was extremely proud to be a member of the Lions Club of Media. He also hosted the Lions Club meetings at The Little Inn for many years. After selling The Little Inn, he moved to Hershey, Pennsylvania and purchased Fire Alley, which he owned until his retirement.
Kosta was a generous and loving husband, father, brother, uncle, friend. He frequently hosted his family at both The Little Inn and Fire Alley for numerous events, holidays, or other family observances. In his retirement, Kosta lived in Hershey, Pennsylvania. His beloved brother Danny and sister-in-law Rose took care of Kosta in his last year of life.
A Memorial graveside service will be held on Thursday April 6 at 10:00 at Lawn Croft Cemetery, 1000 W. Ridge Road, Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania.
