Kevin Francis Neary, of Upper Chichester, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2023. He was 40 years old.

Kevin was a dynamic, intelligent, and caring son, brother, uncle, and friend. Raised in Upper Chichester, Kevin excelled academically and became known for his work ethic and determination. Kevin graduated from Salesianum School in Wilmington, Delaware, and earned a bachelor's degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Kevin thrived as a driven entrepreneur living in his beloved city of Philadelphia until he suffered a gunshot wound in 2011 that left him quadriplegic. After his injury, Kevin's focus turned to helping others as a mentor to individuals with spinal cord injuries and as an advocate for survivors of gun violence and individuals with disabilities. Kevin drew strength from a large community of supporters. He remained a passionate sports fan who enjoyed attending Phillies games with his family and friends.

Above all else, Kevin loved being around other people, lighting up rooms with his charm, smile, and genuine interest in others. Throughout his life, Kevin had an innate ability to form quick and deep connections with others, bringing the best out of the people he met. Although he did not view himself as an inspiration, Kevin's resilience and positive attitude served as a source of strength to many.

Kevin is survived by his father, Joseph W.; his brother Joseph P. and wife, Olivia, along with nephews Joseph C. and William; and his brother Christopher and wife Lindsey, along with nephew Logan; and a collection of devoted relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his much-adored mother, Marian.

Funeral Mass 11:00AM Saturday, February 25, 2023 at St. John Fisher R.C. Church, 4225 Chichester Ave. Boothwyn, PA

Visitation 6:30 until 9:00PM Friday, February 24, 2023 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park and Saturday form 9:00AM until 10:30AM at the Church.

Burial Lawn Croft Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, we request that donations be made to Salesianum School in Kevin's honor. A scholarship fund will be established by the family in the near future.
