Kenneth Francis McKenna, 77, passed away January 7, 2018 at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, FL. Born in Chester, he was the son of the late Owen C. and Carolyn G. Simcox McKenna.
On June 27, 1959, Kenny married Margaret F. Willauer. They called Woodlyn their home for 48 years and wintered in Fort Myers, Florida for over 14 years. They moved to Camden, Delaware in 2014.
Kenny served in the US Navy from 1958 to 1961. He was a proud member of the national Destroyer Escort Sailors Association (DESA) and its local Philadelphia chapter. Wherever he lived, the American flag was on display announcing his great love for his country.
Kenny was employed by Boeing Helicopters as a toolmaker for 39 years and a proud member of the United Aerospace Workers Local 1069. He always looked forward to attending the monthly retirees' luncheon and never minded the drive to get there.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed fishing, going to the casino, and traveling.
He was predeceased by his brother, Owen and sister, Carol.
Along with his wife, Kenny is survived by his daughter, Dawn Gonzalez; sons, Steven (Sharon), and Tim (Donna); also, seven grandchildren and one great grandson.
Funeral Mass: 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 200 Milmont Avenue, Milmont Park, PA 19033, where relatives and friends may call from 9:30-10:45 AM
Burial: Eastlawn Cemetery
