Kathleen A. Verdecchia

Kathleen "Kate" A. Verdecchia (nee Milligan), 78, died on January 14, 2026 at her home in Boothwyn, PA.

Born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Milligan (née Henigan), she had lived in Springfield, PA, Manahawkin, NJ, Baltimore, MD and Sebastian, FL before moving back to Delaware County two years ago.

Kate was the loving wife of 56 years to Edward M. Verdecchia, sister of Margaret M. Smyth (Gene) and the late James Milligan (late Amy) and the late Joseph Milligan; sister-in-law of Dennis Verdecchia and Gerard Verdecchia (Nancy), and she was a loving and kind aunt to Maggie, Brian, Andrew and the late Eugene Smyth; James, Greg, and Joseph Milligan; Mary, Aubree and Jason Milligan; Chris, Kate and Lance Verdecchia and Nicole McCormick.

Kate was smart, witty and had laughter in her soul. She cared deeply for her nieces and nephews, and they loved her in return.

Kate was a member of St. Kevin’s Parish in Springfield where she was formerly president of the Women's Club. She always enjoyed cooking and entertaining and Kate also loved going shopping, and other adventures, with her sister Margaret.

Funeral Mass 11 AM Saturday, February 7, 2026 at St. Kevin R.C. Church, 200 W. Sproul Rd., Springfield where relatives and friends may attend her visitation after 10 AM.  Burial private.
