Kathleen Ann Cox Yakas, 45 of Aston, died June 17, 2011 at Crozer Chester Medical Center.
Born in Springfield, she lived in Upper Chichester before moving to her late residence 14 years ago.
Kathleen was employed as a manager by Mobilex Corporation in Horsham for seven years.
She was a graduate of Chichester High School, class of 1984 and Penn State University, Lima Campus with a degree in Criminal Justice in 1986. Kathleen was a member of the Church of St. Joseph where she taught CCD classes. She also served on the Board of the Aston A.A.,was softball commissioner, as well as coach of girls basketball, She was a National Black Belt Champion in Karate.
Kathleen was a concerned and caring person with family, friends and associates.
She was daughter of the late Catherine M. Wilson Cox, who died in 1998.
Survivors; her husband of 13 years, Robert W. Yakas, children Meghan A. Yakas of Marcus Hook, Anthony Yakas of Secane and Caitlin A. Yakas of Aston, her father and step-mother Larry Clinton Cox and Carol J. Cox of Upper Chichester and her brother Larry C. "L.J." Cox of Lancaster, also grandson Elijah Yakas.
Visitation Tuesday, June 21, 2011 6:30 to 9;00PM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston.
Funeral Service and Burial will be private.
