Kathleen Marie Cooper (nee Smith), 55 of Ridley Park, passed away peacefully at her home on April 5, 2013.
Kathy spent her entire life caring for others. She graduated from Cardinal O'Hara High School in 1975; Kathy received a BS in Nursing from Neumann University and a Master's Degree in Critical Care Nursing from Widener University.
She worked most of her career at Crozer Keystone Hospitals and was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Kathy enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed family time with Jim and their children at their summer home in West Wildwood.
Her favorite pastime was attending her children's sporting events and cheering on their teams. Kathy was involved in Catholic Young Adult Ministry. She attended Christ Episcopal Church in Ridley Park and Saint Simeons in North Wildwood, NJ.
Kathy was the beloved wife of James E. Cooper; loving mother of James S. and Emily Cooper. She is also survived by her mother Joan M. Smith; sisters Sue, Teri, Joanne Smith and Christina Wesolek; brothers Patrick (Karen) and Daniel (Nanci) Smith. Also her father in law George A. Cooper; sisters in law Betty Ann Cooper, Jane DiMattia (Jim) and brother in law George E. Cooper (Jackie) and many nieces and nephews.
Burial Rite and Eucharist 10:00AM Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Christ Episcopal Church, Ridley Park.
Visitation Wednesday 6 to 9PM and Thursday 8:30 to 9:15AM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park.
Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
