Katherine Economou Skoutelas, 93

Katherine Economou Skoutelas, 93, of Chadds Ford died June 25, 2011 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Domianous, Greece she settle in Texas in 1951 and lived in Chester and Aston before moving to her late residence in 1995.

Mrs. Skoutelas was previously employed by Chester Woodworking and Reynolds Springs. She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church where she was a member of Chion Society of St. Markella and Ladies of Philoptochos. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and vegetable gardening but most important was her devotion to her family.

She was daughter of the late Martha and Nicholas Economou, wife of the late John N. Skoutelas who died February 18, 1991 after 44 years of marriage, mother of the late Martha Skoutelas DiDomenicis and sister of the late Christos, Costa, Dimitri, Maria and Areto.

Survivors: her children Nicholas J. Skoutelas (Mary) of Chadds Ford and Lillie Skoutelas of Norristown, grandchildren Loreen Contino, Dina Lockard and Katrina Hall, great-grandchildren Nicolette, Marissa, Avelyn and Nicholas, also survived by her son-in-law Robert DiDomenicis of Media.

Funeral Service: 11 AM Wednesday at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 30 E. Forge Road, Media, PA 19063 (Middletown Twp.) where friends may call after 10 AM.

Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery
