Karen F. Singleton, 74, a lifelong resident of Eddystone died on January 17, 2026 at her home. Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Martin A. and Violet B. Holobowiz Tatasciore.
Karen was a gradute of Ridley High School, class of 1969 and been employed as a secretary in the Ridley School District for 20 years before retiring in 2020. She was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan. Karen enjoyed gardening, cooking and caring for her pets, but most important was her loving family, especially her cherished grandchildren.
She was the loving wife of 36 years to George T. "Ted" Singleton, Jr., mother of Gina Capozzoli (Michael) and Gelsey Okarski (Rebecca), Nonna of Jillian, Jaclyn and Juliana Capozzoli and Wyatt and Quinn Okarski, she was also the sister of Mary Phillips (Tom), Maureen Tatasciore and the late Martin A. Tatasciore, Jr. (Despo). Karen is also survived by nieces, nephews and many loving cousins.
A Celebration of Karen's Life will take place at 11 AM on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 9 AM.
