Julia Novatka, 95, of Ridley Park and formerly a longtime resident of Eddystone died on October 20, 2023 at her home.  Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rosa Cresta Vecchio.
Julia was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church and was employed by the Eddystone Police Deptartment as a crossing guard at the intersection of 10th and Saville for over 25 years before her retirement.
She was the loving wife of the late Edward J. Novatka who died on June 1, 2011 after 65 years of marriage, mother of Ronald Novatka (JoAnne) and Carol Wernert Gartside (late Ben), sister of Rose Torelli, grandmother of R.J. Novatka, Holli Wernert-McCarthy, Kevin Novatka, Michael Wernert and Mark Novatka, she is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and was predeceased by four siblings.
Funeral services and burial will be held privately.
