Judith Anne Wallgren 74, devoted wife, mother, and longtime resident of Ridley Park passed away after a long battle with dementia on November 16
th
, 2020. Daughter of the late A. Edward and Jean Firlein, survived by Charles R. Wallgren, husband of 55 years. Loving mother of Valerie Smith (Art) of Denver, PA, Charlie Wallgren (Lauren) of Ridley Park, and seven grandchildren: Laura, Juliana, Charles 'Nate', Rebecca, Elijah, Gabriel, and Blaise. Brothers Jon Firlein (Florence) of Aston, PA and James Firlein (Cathy) of Columbia, SC, and sister Amy Firelein (Daniel Purdy) of Milmont Park, PA. Predeceased by two children, Jennifer and Christopher.
'Judi' was born in Vallejo, CA and moved to the east coast with her family as a child. She was a graduate of Ridley Township High School (1963) and the Pierce Business School, holding various positions in the financial district until her marriage to Chuck in 1965. They lived in a number of states throughout the south east section of the country during Chuck's service in the US Air Force, eventually settling in Ridley Park. She was a lifetime member of the Ridley Park Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary, a member of the Ridley Park Presbyterian Church, and owner/operator of Judi's Day Care for 20 years where she found her life's passion for raising children in a loving and nurturing environment.
Due to COVID restrictions the burial will be private. A public celebration of life will occur in the future.
