Judith Ann Stephens Cooper, 71
Of Ridley Park, died November 15, 2010 at Christiana Hospital. Born in Chester daughter of the late Joseph Harold and Irene E. Ingram Stephens. Mrs. Cooper lived in Norwood prior to moving to Ridley Park 48 years ago.
Mrs. Cooper was an Administrative Assistant for Shore, Snyder Dental in Norwood for 32 years retiring in 2005, prior to that she was a teacher at St. Mark Lutheran Church Preschool. She was a 1957 graduate of Interboro High School where she was co-captain of the cheerleaders, on the student council and a member of the National Honor Society, she also attended Temple University. As a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church she served on Church Council, was president of the Altar Guild and served on the building committee. Mrs. Cooper enjoyed traveling but most important was her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, a special mother and a caring and supportive grandmother. She was a very good friend and always thought of others before herself.
Survivors: husband of fifty one years George F. Cooper, daughters Linda Cassey (Craig) of Media and Lisa Mulvihill (John) of Newark, DE. Sister of Susan Moyer (Stephen) of Upper Chichester, grandmother of Caitlyn Cassey, Brynn Mulvihill and Craig Cassey, Jr., also survived by her niece Christie Crispin of Swarthmore.
Memorial Service 11 AM Saturday at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 628 E. Chester Pike, Ridley Park, PA 19078.
Burial Private.
