Joyce L. Clark Rode, 72, of Chester Heights, died October 10, 2015 at her home. Born in Darby, she was daughter of the late Ernest Willard and Gladys Estelle Folwell Clark. Joyce lived in East Norriton for 17 years before moving to her late residence 2 ½ months ago.

She attended Interboro High School with the class of 1960 and worked as an office manager for AFSCME Counsel #88 before retiring in 2005. Joyce was a very philanthropic person supporting many charities for animals, children and veterans. She loved animals, especially her cats, and enjoyed eating in area restaurants with her family and friends and vacations in the Outer Banks. Most important to Joyce, was her family.

She was mother of Spencer H. Rode, III and Earl H. "Buddy" Rode (Christine); grandmother of Spencer Rode, IV, Shelby Rode, Morgan Fotiades and Nicholas Rode; sister of Ernest Clark, Elaine McManus, Jeanne Johnston, Carol Lloyd, Barbara Saunders, Gail Hopkins and Diane Ciancia; also survived by a great grandson, Jaxson Swanson.
