Joyce Ruth Karlesses, 71, of Philadelphia died on January 13, 2024 at Pennsylvania Hospital.  Born in Ridley Park, she was the daughter of her beloved parents, the late George and Clara Scheirer Karlesses.
Joyce was a graduate of Interboro High School and was employed as a word processor in the legal field.  She was a gentle, kind soul who loved the city of Philadelphia, the Phillies, the band Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and her three cats, Bones, Nails and Crosby.
She was the sister of Susan M. Karlesses, James A. Karlesses and George E. Karlesses, Jr. (Kathleen), she is also survived by many cousins, nieces and a nephew.
On Saturday, January 27, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 16 W. 3rd St., Essington,, PA, 19029 friends and relatives may call from 8:45 to 9:45 AM.  The Burial Rite and Eucharist will follow at 10 AM. Joyce's committal service will be at Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
