Obituary
Josephine H. Curran Whittaker, 81, of Aston died January 5, 2016 at her home after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Douglass Township, PA she was a daughter of the late John F. and Stella D. Christman Curran and lived in Chester before moving to Aston in 1960.
Mrs. Whittaker was a devoted wife, mother, grand and great grandmother.
She was the wife of the late John A. Whittaker, Jr., her husband of 64 years, who died December 28, 2015; also predeceased by her siblings, Francis J. Curran, Clyde K. Curran, Charles Krause and Elsie Marks.
Survivors: mother of John S. Whittaker (Mary Jane), James L. Whittaker (Barbara), Jean Ann Haberl, William A. Whittaker, David M. Whittaker and Sandra L. Shanko (Bruce); sister of William Conway; also 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
