Josephine "Babe" Smith (nee Dugan) passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024.  Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Tekla (Janiec) Dugan.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Rodney K. Smith.  Loving mother of David (Suzanne) Smith and Susan (Kenneth) Southwick.  Adored Mom-Mom to her grandchildren, Joshua, Ryan and Molly.  She was given the name "Baby," hence "Babe" due to being the youngest of 5 children.  She was predeceased by her beloved siblings Ted, Joe, and Mike Dugan and her sister Anne Dephillips.  She was well cared for by her companion and friend Carolyn for many years.

Babe was a lifetime member and volunteer of Our Lady of Peace Parish where she was the former president of the Sodality.  She graduated from Our Lady of Peace grade school and Notre Dame High School for girls in Moylan, PA. Upon graduation, she had a long career in the banking industry.  She was an avid game player and loved to get together with the ladies of her "card club," who were her dearest friends. Babe also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sports events and recitals, baking Christmas cookies and following Polish traditions.

Funeral Mass 11 AM Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 208 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park, PA where relatives and friends may call 9:45 to 10:45 AM.  Burial Eastlawn Cemetery.
