Josephine A. Visovich Lucas, 89, of Garnet Valley, a homemaker devoted to her family died October 6, 2012 at Naamans Creek County Manor.
Born in Windber, Somerset County, she was a longtime resident of Chester and Essington before moving to Garnet Valley.
Mrs. Lucas was a longtime member of St. Margaret Mary Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and polka music.
Mrs. Lucas was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Pitera Visovich. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley F. Lucas, Sr. on March 16, 1985. She was sister of the late Julia Cortellini, Veronica Maillie, Mary Maillie, Nellie Totino, John Visovich, Thomas Visovich, Franks Brutts, Joseph Brutts and Louis Brutts.
Survivors: Son, Stanley F. Lucas, Jr. (Eileen) of Wilmington, DE; Daughter Deborah A. Consiglio (Robert) of Bethany, CT; two grandchildren Krista Consiglio and Nicholas Consiglio; Sister Helen Rupnick of Havertown; Sisters-in-law; Ethel Visovich of Windber and Ann Lucas of Scalp Level.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 AM Thursday, October 11, 2012 at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque R.C. Church, 500 Wanamaker Ave. and Industrial Hwy., Essington.
Visitation: 6 to 8 PM Wednesday and 8:30 to 9:15 AM Thursday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park.
Burial: SS Peter & Paul Cemetery
