Josephine E. Casar Hancy, 91 of Aston died July 24, 2016 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Jenny Family Casar and resided in Sharon Hill before moving to her late residence in 1990.
Josephine was last employed by Curtis Publishing as a Fly Girl. She was a member of St. John Fisher Seniors and the Church of St. Joseph, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. Josephine enjoyed painting with water colors and was devoted to her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony William Hancy, who died in 1982 and her siblings, Catherine Holmes, Clifford "Reds" Casar and Jack Casar.
Survivors: mother of Ginger Hancy Erfurt (Michael) and Patricia Hemphill (Thomas); sister of Virginia Grimmer; grandmother of Jennie Hemphill, Michael Erfurt, Beth Hemphill Cheyney and Rachael Erfurt Shirk; also survived by five great grandchildren.
