Joseph F. "Joey" Swords, 59 of Brookhaven died on December 11, 2024.  Born in Philadelphia, the son of the Anne Marie Spillane Swords and the late John Martin Swords, he lived in West Chester before moving to Brookhaven 25 years ago.

Joey attended Girard College and had been employed as a HVAC Fitter at Temple University for the past two years.  He loved music, going to concerts, cooking, swimming and barbecuing at the family home.  Joey enjoyed movies, Star Wars, reading and writing poetry.  He also loved his dogs, especially his service dog "Finn".  He was also very proud of his Irish Heritage and loved to talk, he will be remember as a selfless person who cared about everyone else before himself.

He was the loving husband of 24 years to Nancy I. Draviczky Swords, brother of Shawn Swords, Michael Swords (Katherine) and Patrick Swords, he is also survived by two nephews.
