Obituary

Joseph N. Rendi, 86 of Woodlyn, died October 25, 2011 at Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late James and Sarafina Teresco Rendi, and has lived in Woodlyn since 1969.

He was a machinist at Westinghouse Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 1985.

Mr. Rendi was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, serving during WWII, and was a member of the American Legion and VFW Posts, as well as the Moose Lodge.

He loved his family, cooking, dancing, traveling, going to the Sports Club, golfing, his summer home at Rehobeth Beach and especially his retirement.

He was the husband of the late Jennie M. Sica Rendi, his wife of 47 years, who died on September 7, 1998 and great-grandfather of the late Jordan Planas.

Survivors include his daughters; Linda A. Visconti (Late Dominick), Barbara A. Barry (Duane) and Deborah A. Sullivan (John), fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service 11:00 AM Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Grace Bible Fellowship Church, 723 South Providence Rd., Wallingford, PA 19086.

Visitation Sunday 6 to 8PM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA and Monday 10:00 to 10:45AM at the Church. Burial Eastlawn Cemetery.
