Joseph P. "Dello" Dell'Orefice, 87 of Rutledge died July 30, 2013 at his home.
Born in Chester, he was son of the late Francesco and Mary Calagaris Dell'Orefice. He attended Resurrection Grammar School and graduated from St. James High School in 1944. He was a WWII veteran, serving on the DD421 Destroyer Bensen. After 40 years of dedication, Joe retired as Maintenance Forman from Sun Oil Co. in 1984 He enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling and was also an avid bridge player.

In life, as in death, Joe was surrounded by his wife, his children and grandchildren. Joe was husband of the late Doris Poole Dell'Orefice.

Survivors: His wife Ruth I. Sarbaugh Dell'Orefice, whom he married in 2009; his children Joseph F. Dell'Orefice, Virginia Sherman, Francis Dell'Orefice, Anita Leyrer, David Dell'Orefice and Tina Dell'Orefice; his brother John Dell'Orefice; also 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 12:00Noon, Saturday, at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, where friends may call after 11:00AM. Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery. No flowers please.
