Joseph P. "Bud" Luttrell, 81 of Garnet Valley, died February 18, 2013 at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester.
Born in Chester, he was son of the late Joseph J. and Margaret Sykes Luttrell and has lived at his late residence for 52 years.
Bud was an Area Foreman for Sun Company for 40 years, retiring in 1990.
He was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1950 and the Rets Electronic Institute. Bud was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church where he formerly served as a Vestryman and Rector's Warden and also the Sapphire Club at Sun Company. He was an avid fisherman, loved ice cream, was a history buff, enjoyed reading and traveling, animals, gardening and jazz, but most important to him was his home and family.
Survivors: his wife of 57 years, Janice Larkin Luttrell; his son Stephen L. Luttrell (Jacqueline); grandson Edward H. Luttrell; sisters Peggy Baron and Joan Bell Mantegna; also nieces and nephews.
Burial Rite and Eucharist 11:00AM Saturday, February 23, 2013 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 576 Concord Rd., Glen Mills, PA 19342 with burial in the adjoining church cemetery.
