Joseph E. Kennedy, 87, of Ridley Park, died September 15, 2018 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Collingdale, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Ethel Kennedy and resided in Darby before moving to his late residence of Ridley Park 45 years ago.

Joseph served in the US Air Force and was employed as a Senior Sales Coordinator for Square D Company for 35 years before retiring in 1999. Joseph was a devoted husband and father; nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family. He also enjoyed attending St. Madeline's Church, being outside, taking walks, and gardening.

Joseph was predeceased by his brother, Frank Kennedy.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Louise A. Kennedy (Riccetti); his children, Sean Kennedy (Rachelle), Louise M. Kennedy (Nick DiBerardo), Kathleen Kennedy-Bloom, (Jason) and Kimberly Garns (Matthew); his sister, Carol Ann Layden; and 11 beautiful Grandchildren.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park, PA.

Visitation: 7:00-9:00 PM Friday, September 21, 2018 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078 and 9:15-10:15 AM Saturday at church.

Burial: Private
