Joseph S. Gallo, 78, of Ridley Park died on May 18, 2022 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph and Alda J. Bucci Gallo.
Joseph was a graduate of St. James High School, class of 1962 and a proud veteran of the US Army. He was employed as an agent at Northwest Airlines for 39 years before retiring in 2001. Joseph was a member of The Church of St. Madeline, the St. James Alumni Association, Knights of St. James and American Legion Post 504 in Norwood. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and loved traveling and listening 50's and 60's music, he also enjoyed the horse track and owned trotters for a number of years.

He was the loving husband of 15 years to Betty Litsas, step-father to Christopher Litsas (Alyce), Maria Litsas (Ryan) and Peter Litsas (Toni), brother of Ray Payne, and uncle of Gina (Bucky), Susan (George), Gail (Charlie) and the late Carol.

Friends and relatives may call Sunday Evening from 6 to 9 PM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Avenue, Ridley Park, PA 19078. Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Monday at The Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park, PA. Burial private.
