Joseph F. Florio, 87, of Crum Lynne died on January 18, 2023. Born in Marcus Hook, he was the son of the late Domenico Cesare Florio of Rapollo Genoa and Mary Gaudino Florio of Marcus Hook.

He lived in Chester and Wallingford before moving to Ridley Township and becoming a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church in Eddystone. He graduated from Chester High School in 1954 and after graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard where he served from 1954 to 1960 and an additional two years of inactive duty from 1960 to 1962.

Joe worked for Earo's Bakery, Ford Motor Company and at his brother Mike's Service Station and then at Scott Paper Company for 33 years before retiring in 1994. He was also a licensed electrician and did electrical work part time while working at Scott Paper.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mary Anne DiGiovanni Florio, his brothers Michael and Mario and his sister Marianne (Signora) Florio.

Joe is survived by his daughter Donna Marie Florio, his son Joseph Michael Florio, his grandson Dominic Joseph Florio, his brother Victor Florio (Marie) and his sister-in-law Marie Penisi Florio, also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service and burial were private.
