Obituary

Joseph L. Fasano, 83, of Aston, died March 11, 2011 at The Wallingford Nursing Home.

Born in Chester, he lived there until moving to his late residence 48 years ago.

Mr. Fasano was a crossing guard for the Penn Delco School District for 18 years, prior to that he worked at BP Refinery, Sun Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co. and Penn Ship.

He was a member of the Church of St. Joseph and was a graduate of Chester High School, Class of 1945.

Mr. Fasano was husband of the late Jean R. Starr Fasano, his wife of 46 years who died April 30, 2010, and son of the late Joseph and Susie Matanti Fasano and brother of the late Matthew, Michael and Albert Fasano, Anne Gartside and Millie Ward.

Survived by his daughters Brenda L. Murphy (John) of Gouldsboro, PA and Christine A. Samuels (Late Robert) of Aston, his sisters Grace Bizzaro and Edith Maguire, both of Delaware, also his grandchildren John M. Murphy, Robert J. Samuels and Jennifer C. Orfetel (Jay).

Funeral Service 11:00AM Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston where friends may call after 10:00AM. Burial private.
