Joseph Robert Donato Jr., 69, of Ridley Park passed on May 6, 2023. He was born and raised in Milmont Park before moving to Ridley Park later in his life.

Joseph was born on May 25, 1953, at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital to his loving parents, Joseph and Agnes. He was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Church and worked many years as a landscaper where he took great pride in his work. Joseph treasured his childhood and the memories made on Milmont Avenue.

Joseph adored his family, especially his beloved older sisters. His biggest joy in life was spending time with those he loved most. He was so very proud to be a Donato.

He loved gardening, watching the Phillies and listening to his favorite music: Andrea Bocelli, Michael Buble and Il Volo. He also loved celebrating others and taking long walks chatting with people along the way.

Joseph had the kindest heart and was full of compassion. He genuinely cared about others and enjoyed everyone he encountered. He was the saint among us all.

Joseph is survived by his dedicated sisters: Anna Mary DelVescovo (Albert), Mary Jo Marion (Phil) both of West Chester, and Agnes Jean Natale (Frank) of Ridley Park. He was devoted "Uncle Joe" to many nieces and nephews. Also survived by many cousins and extended family.

Joseph is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Agnes (Barrow) Donato, and nephew Daniel Patrick Desmond, Jr.

Joseph's Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Peace Church in Milmont Park on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 11:00am. Burial will be private.
