John S. Whittaker, 69 of Aston died on July 6, 2022 at his home. Born in Chester, he was the son of the late John and Josephine Curran Whittaker.

John was a graduate of Sun Valley High School, class of 1970. He was employed as a tractor trailer driver at FedEx Freight before retiring in 2020 and had previously driven tankers for Matlack, Inc. John enjoyed photography and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and will be remembered for telling jokes to his family and friends.

John was the husband of 49 years to Mary Jane Hardy Whittaker, father of Matthew J. Whittaker (Paula) and Selena M. Simcox (Nathan), grandfather of Ava J., Mia G., Randy J. Brianna M., and brother of James L. Whittaker (Barbara), William A. Whittaker, and the late Jean Ann Haberl.
