1929-2016

John S. Volpe, 86 of Aston died September 10, 2016 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Chester, son of the late Salvatore and Rose Fusco Volpe, he lived in Parkside before moving to his late residence in 1970.

Mr. Volpe served in the U.S. Navy and was a decorated Korean War Veteran, he was employed as a Printer Mechanic at Teledyne Wirz for 38 years prior to retiring in 1995. John was a member of The Church of St. Joseph where he was a Eucharistic Minister and Usher, but most important was his cherished family and faith.

He was a loving husband of the late Teresa A. Moore Volpe who died in 1991 and brother of the late Anthony Volpe and Dolly Acree.

Survivors: devoted father to Donna M. Christy (late Jim), John S. Volpe and Michael A. Volpe (Christine), brother of Albert Volpe and Mary Archacki, grandfather of Deanna and Jimmy Christy and Michael and Daniel Volpe.

Funeral Mass: 10 AM Thursday at The Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston, PA 19014

Visitation: 7 to 9 PM Wednesday at 8:15 to 9:15 AM Thursday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston

Burial: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery
