John C. Ricketts, Sr., 74 a lifelong resident of Ridley Park died on August 6, 2023 at his home.  Born in Ridley Park, he was the son of the late Andrew Curtis and Dorothy Louise Carson Ricketts.

John was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War in the 173rd Airborne Brigade.  He had a long career as a Teamster Truck Driver for ACME Supermarkets before his retirement in 2011.  John enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley and trips to Tupper Lake, NY and Orman Beach, FL.  John's family was the most important part of his life, he loved spending time with his children and attending all of his grandchildren's events.

John is survived by his wife Eileen N. Hunter Ricketts, his children Meegan Ricketts, John C. Ricketts, Jr. (Megan), Christian L. Ricketts (Jamie) and Kelly May Ricketts, he is also survived by his 13 beloved grandchildren.

Funeral Service 11 AM Monday, August 14, 2023 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 9:30 AM.  Burial Chester Rural Cemetery.
