John F. Quinn, 81 of Ridley Park, died October 23, 2011 at his home.

Born in Ashland, PA he lived in Darby before moving to his late residence 24 years ago.

Mr. Quinn was Project Manager for Boeing Company for 15 years before retiring in 1995 and previously worked in the Switch Gear Division at General Electric for 27 years.

He was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys and also a graduate of Drexel Institute of Technology with a B.S. Degree in Engineering.

John was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and volunteered at the School House Senior Center and AARP doing taxes for seniors. He enjoyed golfing, but his devotion to his family was most important to him.

Mr. Quinn was father of the late John F. Quinn, Jr., who died October 23, 2002 and the son of the late Thomas and Mary Klusman Quinn and brother of the late Thomas, Joseph, Robert Quinn and Kathleen Skelton.

Survivors; his wife of 59 years, Eleanor A. McMenamin Quinn, his children Jeanette Smith (James), Theresa McGeehan (Joseph) and Timothy P. Quinn, his granddaughters Megan and Emily McGeehan and also his sister Mary Leavitt.

Funeral Mass 10:00AM Saturday at the Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave. Ridley Park. Visitation Friday 7:00 to 9:00PM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave. Ridley Park. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
