John C. Price, 92, formerly of Ridley Park, died on January 17, 2021 at the Masonic Village at Lafayette Hill.  Born in Philadelphia, son of the late Oliver Chapman and Virginia Tate Cowan Price, he lived in Philadelphia before moving to Ridley Park in 1954 and then to Lafayette Hill in 2013.

John was a graduate of Central High School. After high school, he began working for Bell of Pennsylvania and attending Drexel Institute Evening School until being drafted into the US Army to serve during the Korean War, where he achieved the rank of Second Lieutenant.  Following his service he returned to work at Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania where he held various positions before retiring in 1983.  John was active in the Ridley Park community, serving on The Taylor Hospital Board, Taylor Community Foundation Board, County Savings Bank Board and has been a member of the Ridley Park Fire Company for over 50 years.  He was also a member of Solomon's Lodge No. 3 F & A.M. and  Veterans of Foreign Wars.

John was husband of the late Florence "Betty" E. New Price, who died on January 11, 2012 and father of the late Virginia "Ginny" Price.

He is survived by his children; John C. Price, Jr. (Kathy), Sue Kriebel (Peter), Janet Price and June P. Rushmore (Tom), he is also survived by 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
