John P. Kirlin, Jr. 67 of Upper Chichester, passed away on November 23, 2021. Born in Ridley Park, he was son of the late John P. Kirlin, Sr. and the late Eleanor (Eck) Kirlin and was a lifelong resident of Delaware County.

He was a machinist at Boeing Company in Ridley Township for 35 years.  John attended St. Gabriel's grade school and was a graduate of St. James High School, class of 1972.  He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church and the Knights of Columbus.

John was a special person, with a lively and giving personality, so kind and full of life, with a heart bigger than gold. He had a smile for everyone, he was a sweet man and a gentleman who will be dearly missed by so many.  John was a car enthusiast and enjoyed cars and drag races all his life.  He loved music and also moonlighted as a DJ for many years.  He worked hard and loved to have fun and enjoyed going to the Mummers every year.

John most especially, enjoyed being with his family and friends, that made his life so special.  He truly lived each day to the fullest and especially enjoyed the shore in the summer. Everyone who knew John loved him.

He is survived by his siblings, Marion A. Kirlin Garttmeier (Joe) and Michael J. Kirlin.

Viewing will be on Friday, December 3, 2021 at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, PA where relatives and friends may call after 9:00am. Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30am. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
