Obituary

John W. "Jack" Kennedy, 76, of Philadelphia died October 22, 2017 at his home. Born in Upland, he was the son of the late John H. and Dorothy Reilly Kennedy. Jack was a longtime resident of Ridley Park before moving to his late residence.


He was a graduate of Chester High School and served in the US Army, where he retired after 28 years of service as a Master Sergeant. Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was also an avid bowler and shot pool in many leagues including the Millenium Masters League.


He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Alice A. Stewart Kennedy, who died July 14, 2010


Jack is survived by his children, Robin Palumbo (Tony) and John W. Kennedy (James); granddaughters, Dawn M. Palumbo (Eddie) & Cathryn A. Palumbo (Deb); great granddaughter, Emma; brothers, Daniel D. Kennedy (Susan) and David Hnosko; and longtime companion, Ielen Monteleone


Visitation: 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, October 30, 2017 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078


Burial: Private
