John M. "Jack" Epright, 98, former longtime resident of Prospect Park died May 2, 2018 at his home. Born in Chester, he was the son of the late Warren J. and Catherine Carr Epright and resided in Prospect Park for 66 years before moving to Abington five years ago.
Jack was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys, class of 1938 and was self-employed in fruit and produce distribution before retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. Gabriel R.C. Church. Jack was an avid Eagles fan and enjoyed Phila. Sports, but most important was his devotion to his family, especially to his wife, Millie, and his grandsons.
Jack was predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Mildred F. "Millie" Festee Epright, who died July 7, 2013; and his siblings, George Epright, Warren Epright, Jr., Charles "Chick" Epright and Ann Waltman.
He is survived by his son, Dr. John P. "Pete" Epright and his wife, Nancy, with whom Jack made his home; and his grandsons, Christopher M. Epright and Peter F. Epright.
Funeral Mass: 12:00 Noon Saturday, May 12, 2018 at St. Gabriel R.C. Church, 233 Mohawk Ave., Norwood, PA 19074, where family and friends may call after 11:00 AM
