John C. "Jack" Cassey, Sr., 88, of Ridley Twp., died on May 3, 2015 at Taylor Hospice Residence. Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late Harry P. and Christine Cameron Cassey.

Jack was the founder of Brookhaven Optical, in Nov. 1964, now Cassey's Optical, where he was self-employed. He served in the US Navy during WWII and was a member of the Ridley Park Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and a Deacon. Jack was a Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan, he enjoyed golf and fishing, but most important was his family and friends.

Jack was the beloved husband of the late Norma D. Christie Cassey, his wife of 53 years, who died on May 15, 2002; father of the late John C. Cassey, Jr., who died in 1998; and brother of the late Dorothy Lewis, Harry Cassey and Ella Kelly.

Survivors: father of Scott D. Cassey (Paula) and Dr. Craig A. Cassey (Linda); father-in-law of Jeanine Cassey; grandfather of Kristin Rizzatti, Andrew Cassey, Phd., Steven Cassey, Jamie Hudson, Caitlyn Cassey, Craig Cassey, Jr. and David Cassey; great grandfather of Jack and Grant Hudson; and, brother of Marilyn Austin and Arlene Wood.

Memorial Service: 11:00 AM Monday, May 11, 2015 at Middletown Presbyterian Church, 273 S. Old Middletown Road, Middletown Township, where friends may call from 9:30 AM to 10 :45 AM
