John J. "Jack" Kane, 63, of Folsom died March 16, 2013 at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania. Born in Darby, Mr. Kane lived in Glenolden prior to moving to Folsom 30 years ago.
Jack was a graduate of Darby High School, Class of 1968, and attended Delaware County Community College. He was a US Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Vietnam war. Jack was employed as an Installer for Caleco for 28 years. He was a volunteer with City Team and a Friend of Bill. Jack loved his country, history and traveling to historical sites and gardening, but most important was his love of his wife, daughter, grandchildren other family members and friends.
He was the son of the late John T. and Catherine Walsh Kane and the brother of the late Michael Kane.
Survivors: his wife of 32 years, Jeannie Piccone Kane, daughter Jeanna Ruffner (Matthew), sister Kathleen Holmburg, and his grandchildren Ezekiel and Rachel.
Funeral Service: 10 AM Thursday at Calvary Temple, 3301 S. 20th St., Philadelphia, PA 19145 where friends may call after 9 AM.
